Dive Insight:
Customers can now shop from participating Key Food locations, which include stores under the Key Food, Food Universe, SuperFresh, The Food Emporium and Food Dynasty banners, on Uber Eats, according to the press release. Shoppers can choose from on-demand and scheduled delivery options.
Uber Eats’ partnership with Key Food is open to eligible stores within the co-operative, which has a footprint of more than 480 family-owned and operated supermarkets across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Maryland and Florida. As the rollout continues, member stores can opt in to offer on-demand delivery services, Uber Eats added.
Uber Eats has recently expanded its roster of regional grocers. In July, the company announced five new grocery partners: Busch’s Fresh Food Market, Hays, Lowe’s Market, Marc’s and Piggly Wiggly.
