- Shipt unveiled plans for an updated dashboard for its membership program along with a series of new value-added perks for members, the company announced Tuesday.
- The revamped member dashboard also allows for more personalization, making it easier for members to access their benefits, lifetime savings, exclusive offers and preferred in-store shoppers.
- The Target-owned company’s platform updates come as e-commerce providers compete for loyalty among users.
To keep its membership program fresh with existing users and potential new ones, Shipt is expanding its list of perks.
Shipt’s membership dashboard expansion gives perks to both monthly and annual subscribers, including access to a free four-month SiriusXM Streaming trial, access to free shipping from 1-800-Flowers.com along with its family brands and access to its Preferred Shopper feature, according to the company’s press release.
Members will receive continued access to exclusive savings opportunities and unlimited free shopping and delivery fee on orders over $35.
Shipt’s Chief Marketing Officer, Alia Kemet, added that these current offerings are “just the beginning” as the company looks to add more benefits for members throughout the year.
The e-commerce platform recently updated its in-app features in November 2022 in preparation for the holiday shopping rush. Those enhancements included new gig shopper tools, a remodeled customer experience and improved features for retailers using Shipt’s platform.
Competitor Instacart has also been making improvements in an attempt to clinch shopper loyalty. In June 2022, the company launched a new subscription service, Instacart+, which introduced several family shopping features, such as shared carts and accounts, as well as benefits for Chase cardholders.
Earlier this year, DoorDash and Chase teamed up on a co-branded credit card with loyalty rewards.
