- Kroger is working with Intelligence Node, a retail analytics firm that uses artificial intelligence, to improve product listings on the grocer’s marketplace for third-party sellers, according to a Thursday press release.
- With a database of over 3.5 billion SKUs, Intelligence Node’s algorithms use AI and machine learning to provide dynamic pricing and market analytics solutions. The firm also leverages generative AI for copy optimization.
- The collaboration with Kroger will help customers receive “a consistent digital content experience across millions of products and sellers on the Kroger marketplace,” Sanjeev Sularia, co-founder and CEO of Intelligence Node, said in the announcement.
Kroger’s partnership with Intelligence Node comes at a time when grocers are seeking digital tools to boost their competitive pricing and e-commerce capabilities as well as gain more knowledge about market trends.
By making its product listings clearer and more informative, Kroger is looking to elevate the customer experience and also gain more insights into product performance, according to the announcement.
“From product copy and ratings to reviews and taxonomy, customers are searching out more information than ever before and providing what they need, when they need it is important,” Michael Murphy, group vice president of analytics and execution at Kroger, said in the announcement.
Intelligence Node adds more digital tools to the third-party online marketplace that the grocery company launched with e-commerce provider Mirakl in 2020.
Intelligence Node will provide content audit, optimization and execution within the Mirakl platform, Sularia said.
The retail analytics firm also said that its technology solutions help improve shoppers’ product selections and purchase decisions and provide third-party sellers a content management solution that can help rankings on search engine results pages.
