Dive Insight:
Nick was named ADUSA’s chief commercial and digital officer, an expanded position, in April 2025. He took on responsibility for commercial operations for the company’s businesses, including private brands, sourcing and merchandising. He also retained his priorities as chief digital officer, which included oversight of digital functions like retail media, omnichannel marketing and e-commerce fulfillment partnerships.
Nicks’ ADUSA career began at Food Lion, where he worked as a bagger, ADUSA wrote in a Wednesday LinkedIn post. He moved up the ladder at the banner, holding leadership positions including category manager, director of operations, director of marketing, and director of loyalty and digital marketing. During his time with the parent company, he served as vice president of customer engagement and senior vice president of digital, personalization, loyalty and analytics.
Milestones of Nicks’ career included leading omnichannel capability advancements, creating AD Retail Media USA and elevating the grocer’s Own Brands portfolio, ADUSA’s LinkedIn post noted.
ADUSA recently welcomed Peters as its new CEO on Sept. 8, after announcing her nomination in June. She brings a wealth of grocery-technology expertise to the role, having previously served as Amazon’s vice president for worldwide fresh, overseeing operations in North America and elsewhere in the world.
