Ahold Delhaize USA promoted Abby Cook to senior vice president of Own Brands, the company confirmed with Grocery Dive on Friday.
Cook will report to Chief Commercial Officer Keith Nicks and oversee Ahold Delhaize USA’s private label portfolio, according to emailed remarks from the grocer. She will position Ahold Delhaize's private label portfolio for “the next phase of growth,” which the company noted is a “critical enabler” of its Growing Together strategy.
“Abby will lead the continued growth and performance of our [Own Brands] portfolio, positioning it for the next phase of innovation, differentiation and strategic impact,” Ahold Delhaize wrote in a Friday LinkedIn post.
Cook has worked for Ahold Delhaize USA for nearly five years. She joined the company as director of commercial strategy and most recently served as vice president of U.S. strategy and portfolio, per her LinkedIn profile.
Ahold Delhaize said there is no direct predecessor to Cook’s role, as the appointment “reflects the evolution of Ahold Delhaize USA’s own brands strategy and the formal establishment of the Own Brands function.”
However, prior to Cook, Ian Prisuta served as Ahold Delhaize USA’s senior vice president of private brands. He took on the role in 2022 and, per his LinkedIn page, departed from the company in December 2025.
