This week's new arrivals in the food and beverage marketplace include a landmark redesign for Odwalla, as well as a pop music star's grand entrance onto snack food packaging.
Don't be surprised if you see Katy Perry's name or some new Weight Watchers cakes in the coming week. They both showed up on Food Dive's "Flavors of the Week" list today. Here's the skinny, along with a few other fresh unveilings from the last seven days:
1. ODWALLA
Company: Coca-Cola Co.
With a minimalist, multicolored happy-go-lucky look, Odwalla's beverages and food bars have been redesigned for the first time in six years in order to reemphasize their health food appeal. Using color-coded demarcations, the new-look packaging simplifies the average shopper's process of understanding what's in the product and why it's healthy:

2. RED VELVET CREME CAKES
Company: Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers has unveiled Red Velvet Creme Cakes in an audacious attempt to "help New Year's resolutions last." This new launch makes it easier for the weight-watching consumer to indulge their sugar-coated fantasies without feeling guilty about it:
3. KATY'S KETTLE CORN
Company: popchips
The popchips craze hit a high point last week when the company unveiled katy's kettle corn, a Katy Perry-endorsed flavor of popchips. After becoming an investor and creative partner, the newly crowned Queen of popchips decided to create her own sweet, salty and healthy snack, complete with Perry-inspired glittery pink-and-purple packaging (note the spotlight over the "o" and the "heart shape" dotting the "i" in popchips):

4. SIMPLY BEVERAGES
Company: Simply Orange Juice Co.
The Simply Orange Juice Company has added three new flavors to its Simply Beverages line: Simply Orange with Tangerine, Simply Orange with Banana and Simply Lemonade with Blueberry. The new releases let consumers discover their new favorite flavor combinations:

5. GREEK HONEY CRUNCH
Company: Post Foods
Last week, Post Foods announced a mouthwatering new flavor to its Honey Bunches of Oats line: Greek Honey Crunch cereal. Inspired by the recent Greek yogurt trend, this novel product combines the classic, whole grain Honey Bunches of Oats taste with (you guessed it) baked Greek yogurt clusters. In addition to its novelty appeal, this new cereal targets the hip, healthy and those who like a little sweet in their breakfast, broad swaths of both the young and older demographics:
6. OMEGA INFUSION
Company: Oceans Omega
Last week, Oceans Omega released Omega Infusion, an omega-3-enhanced water product. With four fruity flavors packaged in trendy, capsule-like bottles, the product has initially been exclusively unleashed in Giant Food stores:
7. BULLEIT BOURBON AGED 10 YEARS
Company: Bulleit Distilling Co.
The Bulleit Distilling Company has revealed its latest launch, a select reserve of Bulleit Bourbon, aged 10 years. With elegant, true-to-its-roots packaging, this timeless, top-drawer whiskey looks like a distinguished relic from the Prohibition era:
8. SUNFLOWER & PUMPKIN SEED GRANOLA
Company: Back to Nature
Packing 25g of whole grain and 6g of protein per serving's worth of heat, Back to Nature's Sunflower & Pumpkin Seed Granola is the newest flavor in the health food company's line of granola. Packaged in a simple, down-to-earth resealable pouch, Back to Nature's latest product takes aim at health food enthusiasts:
