Robinson will spearhead Stater Bros.’ fresh department strategies, which stretch across the company’s meat, seafood, produce, floral, deli and bakery departments, according to an emailed press release. The grocer noted that he will also work closely with store operations, marketing and supply chain teams to improve the brand and merchandising to bolster the customer experience.
“Bruce arrives at Stater Bros. with an enormous amount of experience and a legacy of proven results,” Stater Bros. Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Rebecca Calvin, whom Robinson will report to, said in a statement.
Robinson’s career began in 1986 at H-E-B, where he started as a department manager. In 2013, he rose to vice president of fresh merchandising. He joined Lowes Foods in 2025 as the grocer’s vice president of merchandising, format and development, per the announcement.
Stater Bros. named Greg McNiff CEO and president in late September 2025, promoting him from chief operating officer and president. That same month, the grocer promoted Bertha Luna to executive vice president of store operations and promoted Calvin to her current position.
