- Brookshire Grocery Company named Jerry LeClair CEO, effective immediately, according to an emailed press release.
- LeClair has served as interim CEO for the grocery company since February following Brad Brookshire’s retirement after nearly 50 years with the company.
- LeClair, who has been with the company since 2019, brings more than 40 years of grocery industry experience to Brookshire’s top role.

LeClair has held several leadership positions at Brookshire since joining the company. He joined the grocer as chief merchant officer and was then promoted to chief operating officer in 2025, according to the press release.
Now, as Brookshire’s permanent CEO, LeClair will continue overseeing the company’s retail operations, category management, marketing, fuel, pharmacy, logistics and facility services teams, per the announcement.
LeClair has spent his entire career within the grocery industry. Before joining Brookshire, he held senior leadership positions with Giant Eagle and Harris Teeter, the announcement said. His career began at Albertsons, where he advanced from courtesy clerk to district manager.
Brookshire, a family-owned grocer, currently operates more than 215 stores across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma, and runs three distribution centers.
